About us
A loving, life-giving oasis
We are a small and mighty Christian church centered on Jesus’s call to love God, love our neighbors, and love one another.
We believe faith is less about rigid answers and more about a shared path of love, curiosity, compassion, worship, and service. We gather as works in progress, trusting that every generation has something to offer and something to learn.
Intergenerational by design.
Our services are lively, interactive, participatory, hands-on, and creative. Children and adults worship, learn, serve, and grow together.
We are part of the United Methodist tradition and seek to build kinship with everyone we have the opportunity to touch.

Worship
Each Sunday has its own rhythm
One of the distinctive features of Cashmere’s church life is that Sunday worship changes through the month—traditional, contemplative, intergenerational, community-focused, and musical.
1st
Worship & Communion
A more traditional service, with Scripture, prayer, music, Communion, and an intergenerational element that takes learning deeper.
2nd
Lectio Divina
A reflective Sunday centered on Scripture, listening, personal discernment, and sharing what the text is saying to us.
3rd
Family Church
Youth take an active role, with skits, stories, readers’ theater, and activities that explore love, kindness, and Christian life.
4th
Stone Soup
Speakers, stories, and conversation connect faith with the wider community, kindness, kinship, and practical life.
5th
Mostly Music
When there is a fifth Sunday, expect extra music, congregational favorites, and the stories behind beloved hymns.

A love lab
Faith that is practiced, not merely discussed
We want worship to help us become more loving people—in our homes, our neighborhoods, our relationships, and our community.
“Our youth are not too young to lead, our elders are not too old to learn.”
That means worship can be reverent and playful, contemplative and active. We make room for Scripture, prayer, music, conversation, creativity, service, and sacred encounters across generations.
And after worship, there is food. Gathering around the table is part of how we become neighbors.
Our core aims
Love shapes what we do
Our mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus, spreading God’s love through words and works of kindness and compassion.
✝
Love God
Cultivate awe, gratitude, connection, and sacred encounters as we learn to imitate Jesus and listen for the Spirit.
♡
Love All Others
Practice kindness, care, understanding, diversity, health, well-being, connection, and community.
◌
Love Ourselves
Receive ourselves as beloved and seek the health and well-being that helps us support others fully.
❧
Care for Creation
Honor the natural world as God’s handiwork and practice responsible care for creation.
Life together
Community is a central part of our ministry
Some of the most important ministry happens around tables, in the gym, in small groups, and alongside neighbors from across Cashmere.
Community Meals
Free meals bring people from different walks of life together to share food, conversation, and friendship. This is one of the best ways to get to know the church and the wider community.
